I prefer a Pally for PVE. AOE gring - they agro, start tanking, and you fire off a Blizz... Single Target - They tank it, youan fire away, if you pull agro, Nova, Blink - they re-establish it.... Adds and bad pulls - They heal you,
while you split tanking...
Pre-outlands, espially if you are a shadow priest, you'll gear fairly similarly. After that, you'll start to diverge. Then at 70, the gearhoes will bome even more distit. If you're holy, there will be less overlap overall and none at
all at "endgame" (defined here as anything you do after--ding! 70).
Not sure if anyone'sovered this before, I have looked, butan't seem to find alear answer to this question. My situation is simple .. I levelled Fire for 60 levels ... loved the it, veryompetant build for levelling ... big numbers, impt prs ... big Pyros ... ignite prs ... 2 and 3 shotting same level mobs .. euphoria. Then at level 60 (or thereabouts), I dided to give frost a try ... I guess it was bause I had finally repled all my +fire damage gear with better +damage gear ... meaning I wouldn't be gimping my frost damage. Iouldn't believe it ... an irease from about 290 dps to around 350 dps (over theourse of a night's questing) ... my first Frostboltrit was higher
that my highest Fireballrit ... My mana never seemed to move (ok, it did, butompared to fire ... it was an insane amount better). I would wander through an area and drops mobs so qukly, they would be sprawled in ahain oforpses behind me as I left the area. It was amazing. o, the neat little trks like Bubbles, my water ele and e Barrier make it so mh better as well. Why the hell is this, I mean, isn't fire supposed to be the uber-damage sp. It doesn't make sense, or .... is fire something that ales with +damage, and at the level I am now, frost is just better bause of my low(er) +spell damage stat. tbh, Ian't ever see myself going bk to fire, I am doing insane damage now as frost (ran ramparts the other night and owned the damage meters ... fully 50%
higher than the 'lk and rogue) ... or am I short-sighted there .. will fire bome better when I go higher. This is quite relevant as, when I hit 70 (or maybe evern way before), I need to start thinking about tailoring dirtion ..
Spellfire .. or Frozen shadowweave. I don't think I'll raid with this toon, he IS an alt after all, but I always like to ple my best efforts into my toons, and this is a situation that demands a "best effort" Thanks all .. laters
